Walking between sky and earth<\/strong>, surrounded by stunning views of Caldera de Taburiente<\/a>, Cumbre Vieja, and, on clear days, even Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Section: Roque de los Muchachos – Pico de la Nieve<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The adventure begins at the Roque de los Muchachos car park, at 2,423 metres above sea level<\/strong>, surrounded by telescopes and observatories that look straight out of another planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From here, the path descends along the rim of the Caldera, with breathtaking views deep into its interior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soon, you\u2019ll reach the Pared de Roberto<\/strong> and the Mirador de Los Andenes<\/a>, overlooking the Barranco de las Angustias and the Garaf\u00eda Pine Forest Reserve.
The route continues past Morro Negro and Pico de la Cruz,<\/strong> marked by its geodetic point and a wooden cross perched at the very edge of the abyss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, after about 11 kilometres of ups and downs along the ridge, you\u2019ll reach Pico de la Nieve, at 2,230 metres.<\/strong>
From here, the views are spectacular, towards the south, over Cumbre Vieja, and across the Caldera and slopes descending to Santa Cruz de La Palma.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A Shorter and Calmer Alternative<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you prefer a lighter excursion, there\u2019s a wonderful 5 km (round trip) variant.<\/strong>
It starts from the car park beside the LP-4 road, just before reaching Roque de los Muchachos.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This version climbs gently to Pico de la Nieve, following the trail in the reverse direction.
You\u2019ll walk among pine trees, native shrubs<\/a> and enjoy coastal views<\/strong> without the effort of covering the full ridge.
On clear days, you can even see Santa Cruz de La Palma<\/a> and the nearby islands.
It\u2019s perfect for those with limited time or who prefer a more relaxed hike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
