Holy Week in Santa Cruz de La Palma will be celebrated this year from March 29 to April 5. During these days, the island’s capital prepares for moments of faith and reflection, but also for art, history and culture, in one of the island’s most meaningful traditions. This celebration is declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in the Canary Islands, recognising its heritage value and the emotion felt in the historic streets.
The official poster for this edition was created by the La Palma artist Luis Morera, bringing a unique vision deeply linked to the island’s identity. As every year, the programme includes a Sacred Music series and daily and night processions that are especially moving, with very old religious images that travel through the main streets of the historic centre. Locals and visitors walk alongside the procession routes in silence, surrounded by candles and incense, creating an atmosphere that stays with you.
The official programme will be available soon.
