From 25 July to 9 August 2026, Puntagorda will once again be filled with celebration for the traditional San Mauro Abad Festivities. For more than two weeks, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a varied programme of sporting, cultural, religious and musical activities for all ages.
The celebrations will begin with several days devoted to sport. One of the most eagerly awaited events will take place on Saturday, 1 August, with the Grand San Mauro Abad Romería, filling the streets with music, tradition and joy.
Tradition will also play a leading role with the horse race, the Colour Powder Festival and the religious events dedicated to San Mauro Abad. The festivities will conclude on Sunday, 9 August, with the Holy Mass in honour of the patron saint, the solemn procession, the performance of “El Jesús de la Humildad y la Paciencia”, a fireworks display and the grand end-of-festivities dance.
