The Fiestas de la Asunción will fill the capital of La Palma with music, tradition and a festive atmosphere during a special weekend in Santa Cruz de La Palma. The Avenida Marítima, in the Los Balcones area, will be the meeting point for concerts, Cuban flavour and open-air activities.
The programme will begin on Friday, 14 August, from 8:00 p.m., with a night of live music dedicated to great international pop-rock classics. The audience will be able to enjoy a tribute to U2 and Coldplay in a privileged setting by the sea.
The atmosphere will continue on Saturday, 15 August, with a new edition of Tardes de Malecón, returning to the same area of the Avenida Marítima with musical performances and typical tastings in true Cuban style. The event will start at 2:00 p.m. and continue into the night.
Throughout the day, DJ Bembé, Los Chicos del Son, Septeto Palmero, Orillas del Son, Iván Antonio el Sonero de Cuba and Chango will perform, in a celebration marked by Latin music, dancing and Caribbean atmosphere.
