
Barlovento will celebrate its 2026 Patron Saint Festivities in honour of Our Lady of the Rosary from 20 July to 9 August, with an extensive programme combining sport, tradition, culture, music and religious events.
During these weeks, the municipality will bring together residents and visitors through sports tournaments, summer cinema, children’s and youth activities, gastronomic gatherings, concerts, folklore and popular celebrations. Among the main highlights are the Subida Automovilística a Barlovento, the typical and traditional Romería, the grand Romería open-air dance and the eagerly awaited allegorical representation of the Battle of Lepanto, one of the most distinctive events of the festivities.

6:45 p.m. Allegorical representation of the Battle of Lepanto, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 2009. The event begins with the transfer of the image of Our Lady of the Rosary to the Mirador de la Fuente del Llano, accompanied by the authorities and the Tabladitos Municipal Music Band. Afterwards, the flag of the victorious forces will be raised, the National Anthem will be performed and the Christian troops will parade with the prisoners of the battle along El Calvario and Constitución streets until reaching the church.
Place: From the Church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario to the Mirador de la Fuente del Llano, continuing along El Calvario and Constitución streets.
