On Saturday, March 22, Barlovento will bid farewell to the Carnival of La Palma with the much-anticipated Sardinísima, the event that officially closes the island’s celebrations. This year, the festival revolves around the official poster titled "Queen of the Northern Seas", which serves as the inspiration for the carnival theme: "The Underwater World". As always, the festivities will continue late into the night, bringing an atmosphere full of joy, music, and color. Batucadas, carnival troupes, and orchestras will take center stage, ensuring a lively and unforgettable experience for all attendees. Additionally, this year’s Sardinísima coincides with the prestigious Skyrace "Acantilados del Norte", a globally recognized competition that challenges runners with a demanding 29 km course and 2,250 meters of elevation gain. The race begins in Garafía and finishes in Barlovento, adding even more excitement to this unique day. Don’t miss this spectacular farewell to the Carnival, where celebration and sport come together in an incredible setting!
