Los Galguitos, a small village in the municipality of San Andrés y Sauces, is preparing to celebrate its San Juan Bautista Festivities 2026, an event full of tradition, music and festive atmosphere. The programme will run from 24 June to 11 July, with a varied selection of activities for residents and visitors.
During these days, there will be religious events in honour of San Juan Bautista, a tribute to emigrants, children’s activities, folklore performances, open-air dances and popular gatherings. One of the main highlights is the 2nd San Juan between Wines and Tapas, a gastronomic event that will bring these community-focused festivities to a close.

Wednesday, 24 June
At 6:00 p.m., the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place.
At 7:00 p.m., the Feast of San Juan Bautista will be celebrated with the Eucharist, presided over by Don Arturo Hernández Sánchez.
Wednesday, 1 July
At 6:00 p.m., the square decoration event will begin, officially opening the San Juan Bautista Festivities of Los Galguitos 2026.
Thursday, 2 July
At 8:30 p.m., the Tribute to the Emigrant will be held, marking the 76th anniversary of the departure of the Delfina Noya, known as El Serrano, with the participation of several guest artists at the El Poyo landing stage in Los Galguitos.
Friday, 3 July
At 9:30 p.m., there will be a musical evening with performances by Pedro Rodríguez and DJ Tenax in the square.
Saturday, 4 July
At 5:00 p.m., the “Fiestas de San Juan” domino tournament will be held, featuring the teams Manos de Oro and Charco Azul.
At 8:30 p.m., the Eucharist in honour of San Juan Bautista will be celebrated, followed by a procession with the saint’s image and a fireworks display.
At 10:00 p.m., there will be a grand open-air dance with the Orquesta Frambuesa from Tenerife and Zebenzui Melián.
Sunday, 5 July
At 6:00 p.m., children will be able to enjoy games and inflatable attractions provided by Tabayzu.
At 7:00 p.m., San Juan de Tarde will be celebrated with performances by the Tabladitos Municipal Band from Barlovento and the Tuhoco Folklore Group from Velhoco.
At 9:30 p.m., the traditional Baile de la Faya will take place with the folk group Los de Repente.
Saturday, 11 July
At 6:00 p.m., the 2nd San Juan between Wines and Tapas will be held, a gastronomic gathering and closing event of the festivities, with performances by Pedro Rodríguez, Parranda Los de Repente and Grupo Bienmesabe, in Plaza de San Juan.
