
From May 31st to June 24th, 2025, the municipality of Puntallana comes alive to celebrate the traditional San Juan Festivities. For over three weeks, a rich program combines live music, folk performances, gastronomic events, and a crafts fair that highlights local culture. A joyful and meaningful celebration full of tradition, flavor and community spirit—one of the most anticipated festivals of the year on La Palma.
Program Preview – San Juan Festivities 2025
Saturday, May 31
🕐 1:00 PM – Plaza de San Juan
The festivities kick off with a live concert by the popular group Los Cantadores. Music, joy and tradition fill the square to open the celebration.
Sunday, June 8
🕛 12:00 PM – Municipal Market
Enjoy local flavors at the Cheese and Wine Festival of Puntallana, with tastings, festive atmosphere and live music by Aseres.
Sunday, June 15
🕚 11:00 AM – Municipal Market
A special family day: “San Juan en familia”, with performances by the Puntallana Folklore School and the dance group Danzar de Los Alisios. The morning ends with a popular dance led by Orquesta Saoco.
Friday, June 20
🕣 8:30 PM – Plaza de San Juan
A spectacular musical show, “La última y nos vamos”, performed by the Municipal Band of Puntallana, featuring singers from Ritmo, Maracaná, Cañaveral and Kimbara.
Then – A festive night continues with Los Boinas and Los Tres de Caña performing traditional Canarian music.
Saturday, June 21
🕕 6:00 PM – The highly awaited 3rd edition of “Vinos y Tapas por San Juan” features local wine, tapas and live music from Zebensuí Melián, Parchita Colorá, Los Salvapantallas and Puretas Party.
Sunday, June 22
🕚 11:00 AM – Calle Constitución
San Juan Craft Fair showcases traditional handmade items and local talent.
🕛 12:00 PM – Canarian wrestling match between CL Bediesta and CL Candelaria.
🕐 1:00 PM – Plaza de San Juan
Concert by the iconic group Los Gofiones, joined by the dancers of Danzar de Los Alisios, paying tribute to Canary Islands heritage.
Monday, June 23 – San Juan Eve
🕣 8:30 PM – Solemn novena in honor of the patron saint.
🕤 9:30 PM – Procession with the image of San Juan Bautista.
10:00 PM – Singing of the San Juan Hymn, followed by a fireworks display.
Afterwards – Live music with Grupo Trébol, ending the night in a joyful tone.
Tuesday, June 24 – San Juan Day
🕕 6:00 PM – Solemn Mass and procession for the patron saint.
🕗 8:00 PM – Traditional festival with folk groups Los Benahoare and Tendal, to close the festivities with the island’s authentic cultural flair.
