Snorkeling in Fuencaliente: Crystal-Clear Waters & Volcanic Landscapes

Live a unique snorkeling adventure on the southwest coast of La Palma. The tour begins at the dive center on Calle José Torres Hernández in Fuencaliente, where you’ll receive your equipment and a safety briefing. From there, you’ll follow the guide in your own vehicle to the nearby beach.

For about an hour, you’ll explore the underwater volcanic world and observe marine life like parrotfish (viejas), salemas, bream, bass, and even barracudas. The seabed is shaped by hardened lava from the 1971 TeneguÃa eruption, giving you a glimpse into the island’s geological history.
The guided activity ends at Playa de Malpique around 12:00. If you prefer, you can keep the gear until 3:00 PM to continue snorkeling on your own (subject to availability).
