Experience the Magic of Hiking in the Caldera de Taburiente

Breathe in the fresh mountain air while walking along trails lined with towering Canary Island pine trees. This hike takes you into one of the most spectacular and lush natural settings in La Palma, offering a sensory experience of sights, scents, and serenity.

Perfect for those seeking organized hiking and unique nature encounters, this route reveals the heart of La Palma’s crown jewel: the Caldera de Taburiente National Park.
At the scheduled time, you will be picked up at the chosen location. From there, a bus will take you to Los Brecitos viewpoint at 1,081 meters, your starting point for a 16 km journey into the caldera.
You’ll begin a gentle descent through dramatic landscapes and lush pine forests. The first rest stop is in the central area of the park, by the riverbed, a perfect place to take a break and soak in the surroundings.
Along the way, you’ll visit the park’s Visitor Center to learn about its geology, flora, and fauna. You’ll pass Roque Idafe, a symbolic volcanic rock, and reach the famous Cascada de los Colores, a stunning, multicolored waterfall unlike anything else.
The final leg of the hike leads to Dos Aguas and the Barranco de las Angustias, where water flows through towering canyon walls. At around 5:00 PM, a vehicle will be waiting to take you back, marking the end of a truly unforgettable day in nature.

- Due to weather, the departure route may be changed from Barranco de Las Angustias to Mirador de Los Brecitos where after a short ascent, the bus will pick you up to take you back to the Los Llanos de Aridane Bus Station.
