
Between April 25th and 28th, 2025, the island of La Palma will become the epicenter of science, music, and art as it hosts the STARMUS Festival, an international event that unites knowledge, creativity, and entertainment. This edition, centered around the theme of space exploration, will offer a diverse program featuring lectures, debates, workshops, exhibitions, concerts, and much more at various iconic locations across the island.
With a strong commitment to supporting La Palma's recovery after the volcanic eruption of 2021, festival activities will take place in several towns, including Santa Cruz de La Palma, Los Llanos de Aridane, Puerto de Tazacorte, and Puerto Naos, spreading its message of science, art, and hope throughout the island.
Inspiring Talks with World-Class Speakers
The STARMUS lecture series will feature over 45 renowned experts, including Nobel Prize winners, legendary astronauts, internationally recognized scientists, and iconic figures such as Jane Goodall.
The main lectures will take place in Puerto Naos on the following dates:

In addition, the STARMUS Camps in Santa Cruz and Los Llanos de Aridane will offer four full days of activities in the Expo Zones, with science experiences running from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and in the Stage Zones, where presentations and live music will be held.

Sonic Universe Concert:
On April 26th in Puerto de Tazacorte, audiences will enjoy a unique blend of musical genres. Confirmed artists include:
- Rock legends such as Glenn Hughes, Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal, Derek Sherinian, Vinny Appice, Tony Franklin, and Dino Jelusic.
The world-renowned singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler, a winner of multiple Oscars and Grammy Awards. - The popular Spanish pop-rock band Efecto Pasillo.
Opening performances will feature artists like FLANGR (Astro-Pop from Chile), the Canarian reggaeton duo K-Narias, and astronaut and musician Chris Boshuizen (“Dr. Chrispy”).
Classical Night Concert:
On April 27th at the Plaza de España in Santa Cruz de La Palma, this special concert will be headlined by sopranos Montserrat Martí Caballé and Simona Todaro Pavarotti, accompanied by baritone Luis Santana, offering an unforgettable evening in the historic heart of the island.
Workshops and Interactive Zones for Everyone
The STARMUS Camps will be meeting points for science and music enthusiasts, featuring interactive activities for all ages. The Expo Zones will host institutions such as the Starlight Foundation, IAC, the Jane Goodall Institute, ITER, and many others, while the Stage Zones will feature expert presentations and live music starting at 6:00 PM.
