La Palma will host the 17th edition of the Mountain Hiking Festival from September 12 to 14, 202, a well-established event promoting active tourism through guided hiking routes for all levels at affordable prices.
Organised by the Cabildo of La Palma and Sodepal, the festival invites you to explore the island’s volcanic landscapes, lush forests and traditions on foot. Hiking is truly one of the best ways to experience La Palma.
During the festival, the Plaza de España in Santa Cruz de La Palma becomes the Hiker’s Square, the meeting point for all excursions. From there, each participant must reach the start of their selected hike by their own means.
Pre-registration is required before September 8.

The organisers note that this trek requires good physical condition due to the long distances and elevation gain.
