San Isidro Festival 2026

The San Isidro Festival is one of the celebrations with the strongest rural tradition in Breña Alta.
From May 14 to 17, 2026, this town on La Palma hosts a much awaited livestock fair, where country life, devotion and popular atmosphere come together over several festive days. During these days there are religious events, a livestock fair, contests, music, sport, children’s activities and gatherings that are closely linked to the identity of Breña Alta.

May 14, Thursday

4:30 pm
San Isidro 2026 Chess Tournament.
Event location: Hall beneath Plaza de San Isidro.

May 15, Friday

7:30 pm
Celebration of the Eucharist for San Isidro’s Day. Afterwards, the procession with the patron saint will take place around the parish church.

May 16, Saturday

9:00 am
Transfer of Saint Isidro to the fairgrounds, marking the beginning of one of the most important days of the fair.

9:15 am
Official opening of the 2026 Livestock Fair.
Event location: San Isidro Fairgrounds.

10:00 am
Open air children’s drawing contest, an activity designed for younger visitors as part of the popular programme.

Closing of livestock admissions to the fair.

Prize giving ceremony for the open air children’s drawing contest.

12:30 pm
Blessing of the livestock during the Livestock Fair, one of the most symbolic moments of the day.

Traditional lunch for livestock farmers, a gathering deeply linked to the rural spirit of the festival.

32nd Drag Competition, followed by the prize giving ceremony for this traditional event.

7:00 pm to 1:00 am
Large popular open air dance with performances by Tropicana’s, Acuatro and DJ Indi.

May 17, Sunday

10:00 am
Breña Alta Bike Climb San Isidro – El Pilar, a sports event starting in the town centre and finishing in El Pilar.
Event location: Start at Plaza Bujaz and finish in El Pilar.

12:00 pm
Solemn Sunday Eucharist presided over by the parish priest of San Isidro Labrador, Félix Manuel Santana Ramos, with the participation of the Brotherhood of the Blessed Sacrament and the Breña Alta Polyphonic Choir. Afterwards, the procession with the patron saint will follow Camino La Travesía to the main road and return to Plaza de San Isidro, accompanied by the Nueva Esperanza Band of Breña Alta.

5:30 pm
San Isidro 2026 Festival with a performance by Arturo Castillo.

7:00 pm
Villa Turf 2026 horse race, first phase, one of the most eagerly awaited events of the programme.

Guateque party with music by DJ T3NAX to continue enjoying the festive atmosphere.

8:30 pm
Celebration of the Word and, afterwards, procession with the patron saint around the parish church, accompanied by the Nueva Esperanza Band of Breña Alta. Then there will be an allegorical performance, followed by a fireworks display to close the celebration.
