Located in the municipality of Mazo, on the southeast of La Palma, La Salemera Beach is a charming black sand cove, a result of its volcanic origin. Diving and snorkeling are common practices in this area, thanks to the favorable conditions that often present themselves. The area is characterized by trade winds and moderate swell, which persist throughout the year, giving La Salemera a wild and secluded ambiance, endowing it with a unique charm. For hiking enthusiasts, there’s a simple route along the coast, allowing for the enjoyment of magnificent ocean views.

Some of the residences in this locality belong to permanent inhabitants, while others are offered for vacation rental.


To access La Salemera by car, one must take the LP-2 road south, past San Simón, and then turn onto the LP-217, which leads directly to this coastal jewel of La Palma, La Salemera Beach.
