In Tijarafe, the festivities of Our Lady of Candelaria reach their climax in a night full of tradition and excitement. Between the 7th and 8th of September, the "Dance of the Devil" takes center stage, an ancient custom that reflects the struggle between good, represented by the Virgin of Candelaria, and evil, personified by the Devil. This performance takes place in the main square and becomes the focal point in 2024.
As night falls, giants and big-headed figures start the countdown, creating an atmosphere of great anticipation among the attendees. When the Devil appears, the scene transforms into a vibrant display of lights and fire, all synchronized with captivating music, keeping everyone engrossed in the spectacle.
