The Villa de Breña Alta is preparing to celebrate its 2026 Patron Saint Festivities in honour of San Pedro Apóstol, one of the most eagerly awaited events in the municipality’s festive calendar. The celebrations will take place from 5 June to 11 July, with a wide-ranging programme of religious, cultural, sporting, musical and popular events designed for all audiences.
For more than a month, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy children’s activities, concerts, open-air dances, pilgrimages, sports exhibitions, theatre, folklore, gastronomy and traditional gatherings that will fill different areas of Breña Alta with a festive atmosphere. Among the main highlights are the Romería of San Isidro, the Solemn Eucharist in honour of San Pedro Apóstol, the El Verbreñazo festival and many activities to enjoy as a family.

At 5:00 p.m., Arre Palabrita will take place, an activity aimed at children aged 0 to 4, at the Raimundo Concepción Machín “Naldo” Municipal Public Library.
At 6:00 p.m., Ama Palabrita will be held, a children’s activity for ages 5 to 9, coordinated by Elena Revuelta, at the Raimundo Concepción Machín “Naldo” Municipal Public Library.

Saturday, 20 June - Romería of San Isidro
At 4:00 p.m., the pilgrims will gather in Plaza de San Isidro.
At 4:45 p.m., the blessing of the pilgrims will take place. Afterwards, the descent of pilgrims and floats will begin, accompanied by Parranda La Aldea, Breñas Marjué, the Castanets Group and the Aduares Folklore Group of Breña Alta, among others, from the San Isidro road to Plaza Bujaz.
Later, the image of San Isidro and the pilgrim groups will arrive at Plaza Bujaz, where the participating folklore groups will make a musical offering. Afterwards, the romería will continue to the Parish Church of San Pedro.
At 9:00 p.m., there will be an open-air dance with the orchestras Tropicana’s, A Cuatro and DJ T3NAX, in Plaza Bujaz.

At 5:00 p.m., the children’s entertainment show “Cantapueblo and His Adventures” will be held, together with inflatable attractions by Eventos Colorines, in Plaza Bujaz.
At 8:30 p.m., the Solemn Eucharist in honour of San Pedro Apóstol. The mass will be sung by the Polyphonic Choir of the Villa de Breña Alta. At the end, the procession with the images of San Pedro Apóstol and San Isidro will set off, accompanied by the authorities and the Nueva Esperanza Music Band. Afterwards, the traditional Loa will be performed with a symbolic tableau and fireworks.
