Charco Verde Beach

In the southwest of La Palma is Charco Verde Beach, located in the municipality of Los Llanos de Aridane and just two kilometres from Puerto Naos. The name comes from the characteristic colour of its rocks covered with algae. Charco Verde La Palma is a cosy cove 250 metres long, with a calm sea that allows the whole family to enjoy the water and sand. Additionally, it is easily accessible by road and has ample parking for visitors to enjoy the beach worry-free.

Charco Verde Beach in La Palma is an accessible and comfortable beach offering services for people with reduced mobility and those travelling with babies. It has ramps and walkways for easy access for everyone. Furthermore, it features a kiosk, outdoor showers, which is a great convenience for those wishing to freshen up after a swim in the sea. This beach is an ideal place to enjoy with family, friends or to relax in a peaceful and natural setting. It also has a recreational area with tables, benches, and umbrellas.

From Los Llanos de Aridane, you can access the beach by bus no. 24.

CURIOSITY: Since ancient times, it is said that the waters of Charco Verde are medicinal. In fact, there are small pools with these waters in the surroundings of the beach, popularly known as Baños del Charco Verde. However, it is at Enchentive Beach in Fuencaliente where the most famous thermal pools of La Palma are located.
