At 2,426 metres above sea level, surrounded by pristine skies and endless stars, the Roque de los Muchachos Visitor Centre rises as a gateway to the universe. Opened in December 2021, it’s a space designed for everyone, where astronomy becomes a local, cultural and scientific experience.

The visitor centre is located right next to one of the most important astrophysical observatories on the planet. It’s a joint project of the IAC (Canary Islands Institute of Astrophysics), the Cabildo of La Palma, and the municipality of GarafÃa.
