The Concepcion viewpoint, located at the southern end of a crater classified as a Natural Monument, offers unparalleled views of Santa Cruz de La Palma and the port. It is named after the church that has been on the site since 1556.
An impressive natural balcony to admire the captivating panorama of Santa Cruz de La Palma
Located in the municipality of Breña Alta, the peak of Risco de La Concepción is a hydrovolcano of submarine origin in the shape of a half-moon. The Mirador de la Concepción offers stunning views both day and night. During the day, you can see the entire expanse of the capital and its surroundings, including the neighborhood of Mirca and the village of Puntallana in the distance. At dusk, as the warm city lights come on, the viewpoint becomes the perfect spot to capture some of the best nighttime photos on the island. At the foot of the viewpoint lies Valle de La Luna, a picturesque, crescent-shaped neighborhood nestled within the crater of an ancient hydromagmatic volcano. Additionally, from this vantage point, you can also admire the Valle de Las Breñas, offering a panoramic view that covers almost the entire island.
To access, take the detour towards Las Nieves on LP-202, follow LP-101, and you will find the viewpoint after passing the Ermita de La Concepción.
